Small Group Discussion

The lesson start with a simple induction set~ The short show of teaching courseware of the transmission of impulse from the receptor forming a circuit which finally reaches the effector...And it is The Nervous system stuff....

After the show, there is a brief explanation about the whole thing ~the pathway, the structures involved and of course the significance of the system....
...And next is the break up of the students into smaller groups so that they can discuss the whole of the process among themselves....And I call it "Small Group Discussion' which might last about 20 minutes or until all of them are happy with their discussion !!
That method (Small Group discussion) is somehow quite relevant in some of the chapters in the teaching and learning Biology~ I believe that the peer explanation will help to enhance the content knowledge in Biology...at the same time: the chances to fall asleep is decreased =D
