House Renovation Part 1

11 Dec 2010-

House Reno starts..As early as 7.45 am ...Intensive work of 3 men; with the supervisor aso the boss of the project En Yusri....While along and Uda are supervising.....Memok and Kuning baby (The cats ).. are creating scenes!

...and the detiling (Removing the old tiles) and the drilling of the walls and floor of the first Bath....and the detiling of the wall of my wet kitchen...The house is totally in a mess of DUST...and a horrible noise pollution..

Cant imagine the mopping that I have to do tonight..**Sigh**

The removing of the old fence at the back of the house:

Transporting lorries of sand, cement, bricks, and all the materials related to building..All dump into the house compound...SEVEN lorries of that kind of stuff...

Damn tired today..right from morning.....until about 5.00 pm the drilling seem unfinished!....Not to mention the past few days of negotiation over the quotation !..( But above all, the thought of seeing the better look of the house in three months' time~~ soothed it all...)

Day 21st-Day 26th

21st day of school holidays (3/12/2010)

Sedar-sedar dah masuk bulan disember..Tiba2 terasa macam cepat pula masa berlalu...

...And it was on Friday...The morning was already booked by chemistry department...so only the evening slot was left for Biology...And the evening slot was taken by Liza to settle Paper 3 stuff...Finally I decided to meet girls @ night to discuss over Paper 2 stuff...

And it was from 830 pm...and lasted till 11.00 pm , in Dewan makan...intensively revising Paper 2 prior to Bio papers on the 8th Dec..
22nd day ( 4/12/2010)

Repeating the same schedule...Went to school in the evening, then continue again @ night...coaching girls Biology...

23-24th day ( 5-6/12/2010)

Two days @home..In between did a bit of shopping and testing ABC (Air Batu Campur) and cendol @Brem Mall Food Court....which was not so good....Either No star or One star !

NEXT day : the 25th day: The 1st Muharram 1432..Right from morning till 3.30 pm...celebrating Awal Muharram with Bio Revision with girls again @ Dewan Graha Puri....All out for Biology : Together with Liza and Siti Fatimah. (Bio Teachers)..

And....the day that we have been waiting: The morning of Biology SPM Papers..On the 8/12/2010...I reached school as early as 7.00 am...and I was a duty teacher for that day..

Starting the simple assembly with doa, pesanan akhir....Together with me were Pn Zubidah, Vas, Ina and YDP PIBG
...While waiting for the girls to come out of the Exam hall, I was entertaining 4 ex-girls (Valiants) who dropped by to give moral support to their juniors/ sisters. They are Hidayah, Yani, Arina and Anis....Good to see them !
@Teachers Room..with Yani-Dentist to be...Hidayah-Gynae to be and Anis - Biotechnologist to be....(I was their Bio teacher once!)..:-)

....And while the girls were fighting the battle in the hall...I was praying hard so that they wld manage to tackle the questions well..

The feedback I got from them was the exam questions were not bad...

...The next day, I got a complete set from Saadah, the regional officer (RO) @SEJAYA...TQ Saadah..

And my next task is to prepare the marking scheme for ALL the 3 papers...should be able to complete it in one week's time..Go go Chaiyo !!

Day 16th-Day 18th

Day 16th (28/11/2010)

It has been 2 weeks @home with every morning welcoming fruit- Kuini fruit-a type of mango ...must be high content in vitamin C.. Its scientific name is Mangifera Odorata .

I would say that is a unique fruit...strong smell, nice flesh...Like the fruit so much!..What more it is FOC !! ( drop freely into my compound from a neighbour's tree- Thanks to the wind blow :-)

Tired of searching its benefits...watever...I believe as long as its fruits, it must contain some vitamins...Emmm...

So....apart from the early morning activity which include: the collecting of the 'drop-kuini-fruits' and the managing of house chores...on the 16th day of my school holiday ..was...activity Jalan-jalan Cari Jubin aka tiles..(because we r planning to do a minor renovation to our house)...And unfortunate to find the most of the tiles factories are closed...

...And who knows that that day is the lucky day for yuyu (my doter)..when her daddy agreed to book this Auto Kancil in preparation for her to go to her college later at the end of December..

It was a fast decision, on our way back from 'tiles-searching'..with only two phone calls daddy made...then he decided to bring us to the workshop to see the car...And finally, after the negotiation with the old friend of daddy...it was agreed @RM10000.00

..That left me thinking how fortunate are the kids..to have almost everything ready for their convenience....And this is the 3rd Kancil we have at home...All the kancils are for them to use as mean of transport to go to their respective colleges..

...And that night, kids proposed to have Domino's pizza for their dinner, and there you are...fast delivered!

Day 17th (29/11/2010)

Whole day staying @home. Managing the contractor man: measuring the house to quote the price for the renovation..Pheww....

Day 18th (Last day of November):

As promised , went to Cendol Wahab restaurant @Taman Seri Rampai ...with Lan. Zura and Alia...To test the claimed - The best cendol in town !

..and the place is small...I dont like it the moment I get seated to find smokers around me in the restaurant..(They dont separate smokers and non...I am an anti-smokers!!)
...And the cendol taste good..but still I prefer cendol @MAju Junction more!

I have cendol with pulut with jagung with TAPAI UBI...(Asked for durian...tapi ..he said..off season :-(
...and rojak sotong...i would give *** ( 3stars)...

Ask me whether I will come again for the cendol...NO thanks !
...and Thanks Zura , Aliya and Lan for keeping me company...Makan sama-sama memang seronok !..

So my whole day had passed beautifully...

(**Purposely go there after reading the article about that place from Utusan Malaysia last week )

Megamind Movie

Day 14th (26/11/2010)

The contractor came to propose the quotation for the minor house renovation..So the morning and evening were focusing on house reno stuff...Discuss, discuss, discuss..

Then in the evening the children proposed we go to watch the movie ..they suggested 'Megamind'..

And after perform maghrib prayer, 4 of us: Acik, yuyu ,titi and mum went to the cinema..The rest prefer to stay @ home...

The show started @ 7.45pm and lasted till 9.30 pm..



Two thumbs up..An interesting and entertaining movie..I like it and would suggest you to bring your children to the movie too....

So...another day was occupied with activity !

When mum comes... (Part 2)

Mum- love you eternally ..

And.....the day when my mum and sis lepak at my place...sis cooked the special nasi bokhari..She inherites it from my mum...which I dont ! Ruginya...
My sis cooked like chef...Yummy..yummy. You will never forget the taste , trust me :-)

Again...when my mum starts talking, she cant do without giving advices.....one after another....

And her endless reminder was always about sholat...reading Quran.. etc..etc...etc...

...And the 'Qalam' - with the pen that can translate the surah....She has one and I have one !
The reminder to read Quran...with certain surah....the benefits..

...Its a never endless advice ...

Surely, I'm blessed to have a Mum like her ! Moga-moga my mum sentiasa diberkati Allah dunia dan akhirat...Amin !

When mum comes... (Part 1)

When my mum and sis come for a two weeks holidays to KL, she always spare thoughts for allahyarham and allahyarhamah from our families....And she went to their cemetery together with my sis and my son....Coming back, telling me that she was upset to see the condition of the plot, she proposed that we do some good deed...the next day..So together we planned how to go about it...to please my mum...at the same time to do something good to my late uncle, auntie, and cousin.
This is the -'before' plot - without stones and pebbles..

We went to the cemetery at about 10.30 am, nobody was there, except us (Me and Uda was driving , carrying in my car 40 interlocking pebbles plus 2 bags of stones..)

The other car was Along, my mum, their 'cik de' ,my nephews:Muaz and Mueez..

They were arranging the pebbles and the stones...and finally it was done~ not too elaborate but at least there was a better mark for the plot !
...And little Mueez was asking: kenapa kita mesti siram air ?

The answer is:....................
Al Fatehah...to my Ayah Cik!
Next, my sis was searching for my ayah cik's daughter..Asilah...(and she was our late cousin )..Passed away at a young age- around 26 yrs old..not married..and it was in 2006- a year after my ayah cik's death.
Finally could locate the spot...then Along started to get another plot done ..together with Uda, Muaz and Mueez...
Finally it was done....the second plot ! Al Fatehah..
Next we searched for my Acik- ayah cik's wife~ passed away in 2007..My loving auntie..There were TOO many sweet memories with her that I could even cry~ thinking and missing her !!

..Since we did not prepare for another plot, we just recite Al Fatehah and may be will come again later for her....Infact...we have yet to find another auntie's plot !!..their Tok Wan !
***Sigh ** Alhamdulillah...My mum was so happy with what we have contributed that day...It may look simple...but that was one of the small deed and contribution which actually was reflecting our endless loves for them...Apart from sedekah Al Fatehah...what else we can contribute to arwah? ....

Missing the three of them tremendously....Terkenang masa2 bersama mereka....(tears rolling..)

All job done by 1145 am...

..That left me thinking and wondering......If my time comes~ will my children be too busy to even visit my 'small,lonely' plot ?...Sedihnya !
