SKT Versus SHT

SKT - Sasaran Kerja Tahunan
SHT- Sasaran Hidup Tahunan

...the moment I get hold of GC Diary 2010..things which come across my mind is to transfer all the information fom the ol' diary into this new one....Usually before I keep the ol diary at one corner, I will go tru all the past events..whether to cherish or to forget..

..and last week Yang Dipertua GC KL, Mr Tan has reminded us via email, to send a copy of report of our activities in 2009 ( It is sort of SKT of what we did and have achieved for the whole year...the report is meant for promoting us to another step in teaching career..)

Most of the gov servants are familiar with this SKT stuff. It talks about your achievement vice verse... I would like to share my greatest achievement for this year which somehow has made me feel good for the whole year...

It was on May 21st when I got 2 letters at the same time, one is to confirm my grade DG52 and another one is to appoint me to grade DG54 .....and I was also awarded APC (anugerah Khidmat Cemerlang 2009) by KL Edu Dept....Alhamdulillah..

Apart from that I managed to contribute to KL Edu Department in a few programmes which includes the workshop for building items of Biology; conducting courses and talk on answering techniques (Biology) to teachers and students of WPKL; I was involved in Colloqium for SBP teachers; was in Science Carnival and showcase at TKC with my two students' project; chosen to represent KL Edu Dept to the 17th CCEM Commenwealth Conference as stake holders; and the usual tasks such as being the KPKW (ketua pentaksir kawasan) for PBS PEKA Biology and the latest was Penyelia Kawasan for SPM 2009...(Most of the stated event have been published in my blog..)..
..Meeting after meeting.....and of course being the secretary for Majlis Guru Cemerlang Kuala Lumpur has made me even tougher to handle all sort of activities...
I guess my achievement followed suit wth my contributions!!!

...Then what about things which bring joy and happiness for 2009...Well in January the new possession of Vaio has cheered me up, replacing the ole heavy Acer!..

..then in March...the trip to Padang Bukit Tinggi with work colleagues was all that I wanted!!! (I ve published in my blog too...)

...then be able to trace a few of my ex-STF classmates...Jah, Chon,Mun,Melog,Feekah,Suahimi,Anajay,Kim,Chia,Shidah,Muhaya,Zam,Hakimah, AnaAhmad, Normah...maybe more in 2010!!...(Now communicating with the via FB)

..and a new set of dining table at home..to replace the 15 years old one...indeed enhanced my mood to celebrate hari raya 2009 for the first time at home!!

In fact most of the days in a year 2009 are filled up with happiness..may be because one of the many wishes in my 'doa' is always '...gantikan kedukaan ku dengan kegembiraan dan kebahagian, ya Allah..'..Syukur alHamdulillah...
..And as for the sad part of 2009: I lost my beloved father on the 14th July...AlFatihah..the best father on earth!......Earlier , On January 30th, I lost my form 5 nephew in a tragedy!..Moga Tuhan beri kekuatan kepada Mubin dan Norlia (his parents)

The anecdotes above are written as part of my SKT and as for my Sasaran Hidup tahunan, it is sometimes beyond my control..... For example: It never came across my mind that I would be appointed to the better grade within a year...and it was a fast track in my career..

...Basically my sasaran hidup is predictable...which I always wanted: Good muslimah..successful in my life: my career & my family..Good health, good people around...and good ending..

...And it looks like I have to prepare another SHT for 2010 which might be more or less the same like 2009...adding at least one unique one.........dunno why....and for the past week I ve been thinking....of...thinking of.... pursuing Philosophical Doctorate (PhD)...in education!!!

A wedding invitation

...Ermm...when talk about wedding invitation, its surely an endless function to attend..For instance, this school holidays alone..one invitation after another!...and looks like getting a free lunch almost every weekend??..not really..tak kan pergi empty handed! itu bukan budaya orang melayu kan?..
...So much of nasi minyak..can increase your lipid content in your body which finally will be deposited around your internal organs...finally obesity!!! the term 'nasi minyak' itself is quite frightening...dont you think so?..I would suggest we change the name to 'nasi kenduri kawen'..(what about that??)....so that at least I feel better if I ever want to have another serving!!!

...anyway, honestly speaking, I dont really eat much if I went to kenduri...firstly: takut put on weight, secondly: control malu!!..nanti ada orang kenal.. tengok: apahal GC ni makan banyak sangat?...Thirdly: selalunya tempat makan masa kenduri tak condusive: panas, bising ngan lagu, crowded.......selalunya lepas makan, cepat2 jumpa tuan rumah, salam dan genggggammm tangan dan terus chow je...

..The best part bila bawa balik door gift? door gift ke tu?? berbagai jenis...kalau 4-5 tahun dulu asyik2 dapat telur...lepas tu asyik2 dapat porselin...kemudian2 ni : cup cakes dan gula2 seem to be chosen!..At one time.. pernah dapat bedak, kipas, sabun., hand towel, handkerchief......macam2...how creative!...
In years to come... dapat 'pen drive' best jugak yek?

...Wedding invitation cards pun berbagai jenis dan warna sekarang...yang mampu akan lebih berbelanja on the cards...cantik2 dan some I can even use as my mouse pad!!...I kept all the invitation cards because when my time comes to plan a wedding for my sonS (Four of them).. i might need it as a reference!!!

..To all the brides and bridegrooms of 2009..'Selamat Pengantin Baru'..Pandai2 lah menjalani hidup berkeluarga...

A healthy hamper

..I was invited to give a brief talk on Action Research at auditorium of WPKL Edu Dept on the 22 nd..It was a brief account on as how to go about starting action research at school level with the target samples are the form six teachers..It was indeed a short output and I m not to say so satisfied with it because...when u want to share about Action reserach it needs quite some time to explain well so that your audience will b fully understand what you are talking about...

But still, in half an hour Talk i just manage to explain the overview and wrap up the highlighted parts of doing it...I would prefer it to be hands on...but...time constraints!!

Anyway, I sincerely hope it will be an eye opener for the Principals and GPK of whats the importance of Action reserach and at least they do not think it as a burden to ever start doing it...And of course there are so so many references about it...anywhere..Printed..and in the net...just strike 'action research' or 'kajian tindakan'...you will get all sort of samples...Its totally up to you to pick one, adopt and adapt.. as your title!!

...and of course each time after i gave a Talk, at least I have something to bring back..a token of appreciation..Well, Malaysian style! anyway I like it very much...The fruits....and I call it a 'Healthy hamper'...Thanks to Datin Azah (she must be the one who thinks about this)....

A healthy Hamper!

..and back home my hubby just came back from visiting Sarawak (part of his job)..and again he brought back Sarawak identities...without fail! ...and I like the Bario rice..which is cultivated in the Kelabit Highlands of Sarawak, at over 1000 m above sea level...a cool, pristine and natural environment....a refreshing flavor and unique taste and texture..and is regarded as one of the finest grains in the world!!!

..then the pepper of Sarawak

and the Tebaloi - Sarawak Sago Snack

This traditional Sarawak Snack, is a delicacy of the Melanau People of Sarawak. It is taken as a snack and served to guests with tea and coffee. The unique taste of Tebaloi is so special that it has become a very popular snack for all race in Sarawak. The main producing areas of Tebaloi are in the Mukah and Dalat Districts along the coastal region of the Mukah Division. These areas favour large plantations of sago palms which produce sago powder, the main ingredient used in the processing of Tebaloi.
• Contents: Sago flour, Coconut, Sugar, Eggs and permitted Colouring.(Contains no added artificial flavouring and colouring)
...Looks like I'm promoting Sarawak??..believe it or not, I've never been to Sarawak...never!!!

I hope to be there soon!

Post SPM

At last it has over..and at last i can declare what is my exact post or responsibility throughout SPM examination..The reason? the post is supposed to be Rahsia- Akta Rahsia Rasmi Kerajaan..Why? because if some opportunist want to exploit us (i mean our post)..they may use it to get certain information about the subjects which are all stored up in the 'strong room' (the room we r in charge of )...Ten of us..as strong as the mountains???..and to qualify for the post you must be in grade DG48 and above (indicating the seniority and the more responsible ..)It is a Regional Officer or RO..together with us are all the Chief Invigilators (CI)(Ketua pengawas) who worked so hard each morning getting the exam papers stock from the strong room before delivering it to the respective schools/ centres and.. at the end of the day, posted the answer scripts to the given address of the markers..
The security is tight..and Alhamdulillah...all went well as scheduled..except for a few cases which finally we (the RO) managed to solve!
...and getting closer with other RO in the strong room: Norhadijah, NorKhidah, leela, Mr Lai, Mr kwong, Puspha, komati, Zahariah, Vasantha (Truly One Malaysia)...and makan-makan during interval..nasi lemak, kek, kuih2, goreng pisang, roti, roti canai...and biskut lemon Khong Guan yang disediakan satu tin besar...uhuhuhuh....almost one month!!!...During interval also, we went to supervise the examination centres...making sure the exam was conducted properly and well according to the specified procedures...and writing reports.....

...My CI (5 of them) are Napisah, Sharipah,David, Woo anddd.....Azahari (Now See Heart Nasyid group)...whom i admire the voice so much...(He is talented! God gift! )..They are all soooooo good...I enjoyed every minute working with them...as a team!
...So.. on the 17th, we were sending the last papers to the other strong room...and by 10.00 am all settled..What a relief!!!...selesai tugas dan tanggung jawab.
....On the 18th..(Today) I dont have to rush to strong room anymore..funny though, i sort of miss it! Doing my house chores as usual for the whole day...taking nap in between...a compensation!..and celebrating Awal Muharram with puasa sunat...

and ....before end of the month...I'm continuing my 'editing stuff' which is scheduled to be completed before 25th December..and providing answers for Bio SPM Paper 2 and Paper 3 2009 to the publisher ,later to be published in my latest Bio reference and koleksi Soalan SPM book 2010...

16th December!!!

..As early as 6.00 am, as late as 6.00 pm...leaving home and returning home! It is my daily routine (except for the weekend!)..You know what I mean...I have a big responsibility together with many others...and I am fortunate ? to be elected......

..While the others have long gone to visit places...or some have became full time mothers or wives...(at least for the month of Dec)...catching up the missing time with their families...whereas...we are busy catching up with exam papers...
...and we wait patiently for 16th Dec to come...the day ..when SPM examination is over.
