Perkampungan Intelek@PWTC KL

When they argued about Guru Cemerlang been bizi contributing to the outsiders and out of their own school...maybe to other schools, departments, ministries such as Curriculum Development Centre (CDC/BPK) , Malaysia Examination Syndicate (LPM), BTP, BBT (Text Book )..etc...etc..I definitely one of those who dont quite agree to it........Just quote me as an example.....after completing task for CDC for three consequitive days away from school..., back to school on Friday...@night 8.30-10.30 pm back to school doing seminar for Bio SPM for the form five girls...@PWTC KL....
After the TALK

...and the Talk lasted for two hatrick-hours and you know how was it like if it was not done with the proper plan and correct approach...all your audience would had just doze off....leaving you 'syok sendiri' infront of them...like stupid fool..:-)....But fortunately....I WON the game when I was not just succeeded in keeping them awake but managed to achieve the objectives of the TAlk too..Thank You Allah ~ For inspiring me.

...and Lotta lucks to all my GIRLS @Seseri...Promise us to score A in Biology Trial and SPM...Dont let us (Bio teachers ) down.....Do your very best BELLATRIXIANS !!!

Curriculum Standard @Citrus KL

Well...it started with the translation of the curriculum from English to Malay @ Federal Hotel KL....next was the mapping of content @Radius International Hotel and next was the writing up of the curriculum standard @Citrus Hotel KL ....To get involved with the curriculum stuff is interesting though tiring and exhausting.....its interesting because only then we know the steps taken in a process of developing the science education curriculum which will be used by the whole system.....With a lot of things to be taken into consideration...to produce the best realistic curriculum...
I recalled the years (mid 2005-mid 2007) when I did my Master in Education@ University of Malaya, learning the curriculum in science education of other countries and comparing it with Malaysian! and of course Professor Siow appeared so vivid in my mind ......lecturing all courses which were related to curriculum..He is indeed well versed about curriculum...I should call him 'Curriculum man!'..

..And to be able to get involved and contributed with BPK/ CDC...and after the writing up of a small part of the chapters...then presenting it to be discussed....I was happy to contribute because it is all my 'subject matter- BIOLOGY'
....and there will be more to come.......( I mean the process of developing it..) until all completed and getting ready for the full usage of BM in all science elective subjects by 2015...and I'm ready to be called :-)

( to make it short , all girls stuff...)...all total up reaching RM400...
...Then after settling at the counter we proceed to have breakfast@KFC...the three of us..eat and eat....Total up RM35.00...Next we stopped by at tudung shop~ spending on tudung ...so nice !..Total up to RM250...
...On the way back home I was saying to my daughters....what to cook @home for the brothers since there's nothing in the freezer to cook...so yuyu, the noti doter suggested.....why not we pack them lunch...So, I stopped @Restaurant Firdaus and got hold of 4 packects of nasi briyani gam......which cost me RM30.00
...Well....within a day, look @ the rate I'm spending.....BUT...that was after a week not pampering myself and the girls too....So..it is justified !!

Bio Talk@UM

It was on Monday 14th morning....as scheduled , I went to UM for a Talk on the 'Teknik Mengajar Biologi'. It was a 2 hour talk focussing mainly on the sharing of my teaching experiences particularly in Biology...Looking at the group ( students of Sarjana muda sains pendidikan final semester ).......how I wish each of them will give the best commitment and dedication in the teaching field...

..With the majority are ladies ( a very common statistic..)..there are a few gentlemen too...and I'm glad I can see the Chinese gentlemen and ladies future teachers...and a few Indian ladies too......Well, it is more than approriate to address them such.... because they have almost completed their training to become a teacher....

..Apart from UM, there are other universities playing role to produce future teachers of Malaysia...and of course it looks like UPSI (Universiti Pendidikan Sultan Idris) ..is gonna be the dominant university in near future to produce and train most of our Malaysian teachers...
..That was my third time being in UM for the same purpose...and I was honoured to be invited by the Science Faculty to share my teaching experiences and at the same time to motivate and inspire them to be great teachers.......
...The talk was ended up with my favourite sayings:
The mediocre teacher tells. The good teacher explains. The superior teacher demonstrates. The GREAT teacher INSPIRES...~William A.Ward

A week school holiday was spent totally on Bio exam papers to mark....Days and nights, glued on the chair, facing the papers....eyes spinning, neck aching...well..not really complaining but that's the routine as a teacher....part of the job...like it or not~ juz like other profession, each has its own routine which make any individual will feel blessed if he is able to break it..( I mean break the monotonous routine)...

...and when my mum and sis came over to KL for a holiday...and looking at me like crazy (^_^)......they planned with other sis and bro ~ a -3- families dinner @ Saba' Restaurant @ Setiawangsa ......for a change......... trying an Iranian style dinner..

Bio Content Mapping @Radius International Hotel

..It was on the 1st to 3rd June when we were called for a meeting by the Curriculum Development Centre CDC) ,Ministry of Education (MOE).....so called 'Pemurnian konten bagi mata pelajaran sains elektif~Biologi, Kimia, Fizik dan Sains Tambahan Bil 1/2010 @ Radius International Hotel KL..
and of course I' m representing Biology teachers whole of Malaysia together with 6 others Guru Cemerlang Biologi to go through the curriculum biology content....which is in a process of transforming ...to meet the need of the latest education demand of the country....
..The nite started with the briefing and input from Ms Zaidah Mohd Yusoff (Ketua Unit) which I found informative..and reminding us the idea of mapping the curriculum content is to determine the cognitive domain, the psychomotor domain and the affective domain which are relevant with Malaysian students ability in years to come..

..Not forgetting to insert the new emerging science such as: nanotechnology, green technology, biotech, materials technology, tissue engineering...and inserting the creativity and innovative elements too.....and the entrepreneur stuff too......into biology curriculum...Emmmmm......banyaknya.....We were struggling for two days ... trying to insert the latest of the new sciences into our syllabus...referring Bio books from USA, UK..and searching from net the informations related.....Tired..yes...but satisfied because we were chosen to contribute to the development of the curriculum...which is to be used by the education system in Malaysia.....we are indeed honoured!!!

....and the place of stay is @
Radius International Hotel located @ Changkat Bukit Bintang...I thought its a nice hotel...but...alas!...its not like other hotels I used to stay.....Not sharing a room of course is a blessing.....but the interior decorating is a bit out!

From my room 1419: among the hotels viewed are The Marriot, The Capitol, The Royale Bintang...Times Square,Low Yat Plaza, Lot 10........Radius International hotel is at the heart of Bukit Bintang ....
..Foodwise~ not bad... compared to Pearl international
Hotel@Old Klang road (I cldnt imagine eating lauk sotong kembang there...uwwekkk)..and the last nite we were having 'steam boat' dinner which I would only give a grade C ....
....So at last we managed to complete the task on the 3rd...and to be continued for another writing up the standard curriculum
soon....@Citrus Hotel (22-24th July 2010 ).......Here I come!

Happy to contribute!
All focused!
