We have to wait for the ‘men’ to set up the booth with the wrong school name which we didn’t like it...SMK Seri Puteri..(because we r proud of SM Sains Seri puteri which carries our image!)...So the girls asked me to complain and the man agreed to stick an ‘S’ on the ‘K’.....
Next the girls discussed as how to go about setting up their materials to display...
An hour later, we left the venue to the next destination: UM culture tissue Lab....the purpose was to get the fresh specimen of tissue culture, to display the next day of the innovation exhibition..The four girls were amused with all the specimens found in the Lab..
Next we went back to school. ...
It was late in the evening when I went to the ‘Guardian’ to get 6 masks. RM1.50 each..They were meant for my 4 girls who will be going for the exhibition for 3 consecutive days starting Tuesday...I was preparing for them protection, in case they might need the masks since this so called H1N1 disease is fast spreading...(That time wondering why UPM still proceed with this exhibition!!!)
Tuesday morning, the four girls came and see me for the last briefings..I briefed them as how to do the final set up for the booth, how to explain to the visitors..and reminded them to be alert for any warnings of the pandemic...
TRUE enough, at about 3.40 pm I got a call from UPM officer asking me to fetch the girls because UPM was closing and some students quarantined, some asked to go back home..starting Wednesday...

......Finally the 4 girls were asked to go back home for three days.....Quarantined!!!!....to make sure they wont infect others in the hostel....They were devastated!..After all they were so excited to take part in the exhibition representing the school...
At this moment, a number of schools have been closed..But not yet SESERI..Pray to Allah s.w.t. to protect us against this ‘God-sent disease’ (to warn and remind all mankind..)
So...that’s one of the hundreds effect of this pandemic....

Among my preventive measures to avoid this virus are:
i. Avoid crowded places- meaning less shopping, less marketing..
ii. Wear masks /cover mouth and nose where necessary
iii. Wash hands and face immediately upon reaching home.
iv. No shaking hands and ‘salam cium tangan’ with students.
v. Drink plenty of water
vi. Eat more fruits like oranges
vii. Be alert for any signs of fever, coughing, sneezing...
Let us together pray to Allah , so that we will be protected by Him from this disease!
