Interaction Between Organisms PART II

Please identify the interaction and explain in 2-3 sentences about the 'Interaction'..

    i guess image E is prey-predator.
    but the animals are not really clear.i guess it is fox and dunno...

    image G is commensalism...
    the remora fish attached to the sharks.they use the sharks as transport and protection.while the shark is not affected by the presence of remora fish.

    ssorry teacher others i cant identify the interaction.i'll try to find it.

    image C- parasitism
    the flea sucks blood and get shelter fom our head. in return, the head wii be harmed.

    image D- mutualism
    the nitrogen-fixing bacteria such as Rhizobium sp. live inside the root nodules of leguminous plants. the nitrogen fixing bacteria convert the atmospheric nitrogen into ammonium compound that is used by the plant. in return, the plant will provide the bacteria with energy-rich organic compound.

    Image E-prey-predator
    the cat (maybe)is the predator and the animal in its mouth is the prey.(hehe..sorry teacher,i can't explain more, ts hard to identify that animal..)

    Image G-commensalism
    remora fish attached to the shark to get transportaion , and feed on the scrap food left behind by the shark. the shark in return, did'nt harmed or affected.

    Image H- parasitism
    rafflesia sp. lives on the tree and obtain food and shelter from the host.the tree or the host will lose nutrient and eventually die.

    cegu, the others i can't identify the reaction because of the pic.it is not so clear..

    Image E- It is Predator-prey interaction...CORRECT..So how to explain it?

    Its like this:
    Fact 1: A predator is an animal which hunts and eats other animals.
    Fact 2: the predator moves fast, and equipped with either long canine teeth/sharp claws to seize, hold and kills its prey
    Fact 3: In this case it is a FOX
    Fact 4: A prey is a weaker animal eaten by predator// a prey is a RABBIT
    Fact 5: The prey uses speed and camourflage to avoid being caught by its predator.
    Fact 6: The prey-predator relationship is important to keep different animal populations of an ecosystem in balance.

    So barulah dapat score 6/6...

    oohh....ckgu krenye epiphyte tu pokok yg duk ats pokok lain.. tp x mkn dr host. dia buat maknn sndiri.. klu saprophytism lak dia mkn dr pkk yg dh mati.. saprophyte n epiphyte, kdua2nya unde commensalism ye ckgu? ckgu image F tu ape? x brape jelasla ckgu...

'Atikah..epiphytes tu selalunya jenis2 ferns(paku pakis), orkid pun ye..they photosynthesis, jadi tak ambil nutrien dari host tempat dia tinggal..cuma nak tumpang utk sunlight dll...saprophyte tu lain, dia hanya absorb nutrient host yg dah mati saja..parasit dapat nutrien dari living host,so they will damage the host..Saprophytism bukan commensalism..
    Image F tu foto sebenar Lichen..so interaction nya adlaah mutualism, saling benefit dengan hostnya..

    -lichen is made up of alga and fungus
    -alga provide food for itself as well as for the fungus
    -fungus provide carbon dioxide and nitrogenous products for alga to produce food

  8. Wan(5A): The fungus benefits from the algae because fungi, having no chlorophyll, can't photosynthesize their own food.
    A lichen's fungal part is thus "fed" by its photosynthesizing algal part.

    The algae benefit from the interaction because the fungus is better able to find, soak up, and retain water and nutrients than the algae.
    Also, the fungus gives the resulting lichen shape, and provides the reproductive structures.
    This kind of relationship between two or more organisms, where both organisms benefit, is known as mutualism..
    ..Ur explanation also accepted...

    Image A: Sea anemone also..The explanation is just like the other posting.
    Image B: is a worm which lives in tomato plats as parasites..Absorbing nutrient and bring harm to the host.
    Image C: is a flea, sucking dogs' blood.A parasite which brings harm to its host

    I,2;don know
    I,3;these parasite[lice] live in the hosts body
    I,4;rhizobium bacteria that live in the root nodules of a legime plant fix nitrogen in the atmosphere
    I,5;the prey is hunted by yhe stonger animals that is predator{fox}
    I,6:i'm not sure of this but i think it is interaction of alga and fungus
    I,6;remora fish attaches itself to the shark to get transport,protection, and leftover food
    I,7:i think it is parasitism
