..I've just completed marking Paper 2 Structure Questions..Yes..Only structure Questions..Which consist of 5 questions..I have 30+30+25+24 scripts to mark...Its a bit slow (I mean the process of marking) bcoz i didnt do it full time (part time job...)..I've been buzy with house chores..(I'm a full time housewife when it is a school holiday)..activities such as washing,,cooking,,mopping,,marketting.....window shopping..
Once a while watch TV., interacting wif my sons and daughters...This evening 2 hours gone at the Hair Saloon managing my hair....Then shopping at Giant supermarket which is newly opened at my place...
I spent my nite time to reply to comments and do postings too..,checking my email to see the latest mail from YDP GCWPKL who usually mail me instructions and information abt the latest of our activities (I'm the secretary of Majlis Guru Cemerlang Wilayah Persekutuan KL)..Lately i'm checking my emails to see any new comments from my students especially Valiant..then only i browse tru my Blog..and of course i make sure i reply to all the comments as soon as i can....
In this posting, i'd like all Valiant to take note that they are actually not well versed about the content of 'Interaction between organism'..Most of them couldnt answer the question related to interaction, which is qs no 4...
...So Valiant may utilise tis holiday to revise and explore more pictures/images from Google to know more about this topic..
Symbiotic Relationships
Symbiosis is a close ecological relationship between the individuals
of two (or more) different species.
Sometimes a symbiotic relationship benefits both species,
sometimes one species benefits at the other's expanse
and in other cases neither species benefits.
Ecologists use a different term for each type of symbiotic relationship:
Mutualism -- both species benefit
Mutualism -- both species benefit
Commensalism -- one species benefits, the other is unaffected
Parasitism -- one species benefits, the other is harmed
Competition -- neither species benefits
Pls check the examples for : Saprophytism, epiphytes, epizoytes, parasitism..What else?

ReplyDeleteThe clownfish feeds on undigested matter which could harm the sea anemone, and the faecal matter from the clownfish provides nutrients to the sea anemone. In addition to providing food for the clownfish, the sea anemone also provides safety due to its poison.

ReplyDeleteteacher,nape ant dgn aphid mutualism??
Wan:
ReplyDeleteClown fish and sea anemone is Mutualism:
Here's a simplified version of the relationship: the anemone receives protection from polyp-eating fish, like Butterfly Fish, which the Clown Fish chases away. The anemone also gets fertilizer from the feces of the Clown Fish. It is a near-perfect symbiosis. People have always been fascinated by this relationship.
And as for ants and aphids: Mutualism too because:
Ants obtain honeydew, a carbohydrate rich excretion, from aphids and, in return, protect aphids from natural enemies and potential competitors. This behavior is called “tending” and results in larger aphid populations.( In addition to larger aphid populations, fire ants may indirectly increase the production of alate aphids and increase aphid dispersal)
..Mutualism is :Both Benefit..
