I consider SESERI girls lucky. Bcoz any educational trip gets a full support from the administration..For instance on Wednesday, i accompanied 40 students to PNM to join their activities in response to Biotech week organised by BiotechCorp Resource Centre (BRC) in collaboration with PNM/NLM (National Library of Malaysia), with support from Ministry of Sc, Tech and Inovation..The girls chosen for a trip were from Persatuan Rekacipta & Inovasi (I’m the teacher advisor).We reached PNM at 10.00am. Pn H, the officer in-charge was waiting for us.. upon arrival led us to the room where there’s a Talk on The New Green Revolution by Miss M from MABIC..The one hour talk has opened up students to the facts such as: the need to adopt new technology like plant biotechnology..genetically modified by man..Biotech add values to food and agriculture..the transgenic papaya..the GM Food..etc..etc..

The next hour, students were participating in a few games by National Science Centre at the corner of the library..Then we break for lunch. At 2.30pm another Talk abt Forensic DNA issues in Malaysia which was presented by Ms N from Forensic Dept, Dept of Chemical Msia..Well, this Talk caught students attention especially those who intend to pursue into forensic DNA in the future...To know details visit http://www.kimia.gov.my/
We dismissed at abt 4.30pm when En A the school bus driver came and fetched us at the main entrance of PNM....Hopefully, the trip has benefited the girls and motivate them to strive harder in subjects like biology and chemistry...
