Microscope Skills ♥

Bio teachers of Malaysia, please make sure by the time your students are in Form 5, they shld be able to handle microscope well. From what i observed, they are still careless over it. Some are changing the power lens carelessly and cause the slides to break. Even when keeping microscope after used,they simply forget to keep it in a low power-position. Selalu kena remind over and over.

Fifth formers of SESERI have observed ts of arteries,veins and capillary for PeKA microscope skills. They managed to draw well (of course after a guidance from Bio sifu).And the labelling,they refer it from Reference book & text book of course. I've reminded them to take note of all the labellings because it might be asked in SPM exam. The differences between the structure of artery, veins and blood capillary ( A Table of differences should be fine).

They observed human and frog blood smear too. Not bad, they could differentiate the structure but couldnt give reason why frogs rbc have nucleus..Some said frogs do not need oxygen as much as human do, so never mind if its rbc has nucleus..Frogs can get oxygen directly from its moist skin too, so it does not depend totally on rbc to transport oxygen. What do u think , teachers?
