My Bio Lab.My Place! ♥

Howdy...(wordpress wishing me..). Whole of thursday is free from T&L for GCs in WPKL. Dont get me wrong, free from T&L in classroom doesnt mean u can go home sleep. But today is the only day i cld plan, replan, reorganise, redo, rearrange my work/activity schedule for another week and time for reflection too...but definitely not reLAX....

So i'm glad today i cld worked out with Sham to decorate and updating myBio Lab so that it will look invitable and a good place to be in..(especially for my students). Sham helped me to hang the new charts..In SESERI (Sains Seri Puteri) we have two biology labs, we call it F4 Lab and F5 Lab. All the charts and models are placed according to chapters learnt.

I find the models n charts r very useful..(apart from Teaching CWare)..Especially when teaching transport in plants..To show them the cross section of root and stems of dicot and monocot..( But be careful though, the labellings given are a bit details for the students..) Ask them to draw and label properly and make sure they cld identify which is which. Guide them which labels are needed for the examination..SPM.

After sorting out the models, we paste some of the information at the notice board. We ve just removed the 2008 info and now only able to replace with a new one. Last two weeks when a delegation (Education ministry) from Turkey came, the lab has not yet updated and we actually were not prepared for such a surprise visit..(But still they gave good comment abt the lab..and they did take photos of the lab to bring back to Turkey)..Sepatutnya datang today..lebih baik!

When talk abt updating and changing new info, not only in the lab, infact anywhere ,any notice boards around school, teachers r a bit slow to initiate students to do it..simply bcoz we r buzzzyyyy (or an excuse? )..Banyak nya kerja kat sekolah ni...one after another.

Back to my Bio lab..i always like to be there..Just that it is hot. I guess the room temperature cld be as high as 32 C :P . U can sweat in-out being there. No air cond, fan moving slow..half-dead..What a pitiful being a teacher..tak selesa dibanding dengan kerja kat ofis, jabatan,kementerian..That's why they dont want to be a teacher, dont blame them.

But above all, I'm glad to be a teacher, especially Biology teacher..
